Mark Pacoe CONTACT www.MarkPacoe.com Mark Pacoe has performed as soloist and accompanist domestically and abroad. As prizewinner from the Oundle International Young Organists’ Academy in Great Britain, Mark made his European debut tour appearing at St. Paul’s Cathedral (London), Chichester Cathedral and St. Mary’s Cathedral (Edinburgh Fringe Festival). Recent appearances include the 27thInternational Historic Organs of Slovakia Festival, the 11thInternational Organ Festival at Sankt Johannes (Copenhagen), and St. Paul’s Cathedral (Pittsburgh). Other engagements have included the Terra Sancta Organ Festival in the Holy Land (Israel and Palestine), 14th International Organ Festival in Amsterdam, Canton Palace Theater (Canton, OH), International Organ Festival in Arona (Italy), 22nd International Organ Festival in Sens (France), La Madeleine (Paris), Artisten (Göteborg, Sweden), St. Peter’s Basilica (Vatican City), Sydney Opera House and Sydney Town Hall (2007/2011), Forbidden City Concert Hall (Beijing) and the Oriental Arts Center (Shanghai) for the XXIX Olympiad (2008), Peterskirche and Konzerthaus (Vienna) as featured soloist for the International Haydn Festival (2009), Duomo San Maria del Fiori (Florence), American British Academy (Muscat), as well as many AGO recitals and workshops and venues across the USA.
Mr. Pacoe earned degrees from Duquesne University, and East Carolina University, and did post-graduate studies at the Eastman School of Music. Mr. Pacoe is a member of the American Guild of Organists and is also on the artist roster of the EastWest Organists. In 2013, Cardinal Dolan appointed Mark to a six-member music commission for the Archdiocese of New York and was recently renewed for a second term. Mr. Pacoe has served as an adjudicator for organ competitions including the 1er Concours International d’Orgue in Saint-Julien-du-Sault (Yonne, France, July 2013), 2nd Concorso Internazionale Di Interpretazione Organistica "Agati-Tronci" (Pistoia, Italy, April 2013), and several scholarship competitions in the USA. Mr. Pacoe has also published several church music related articles in the GIA Quarterly (Chicago) and Word on Worship (Newark). Mark’s debut recording, “CROSSROADS – Music from St. Malachy’s – The Actors’ Chapel, Time Square, New York,” was released on the Acis label, Fall 2015. Mr. Pacoe currently serves as Associate Director of Music and Organist at St. Patrick's Cathedral, NYC.
